Camiah has been performing, studying and loving music since she was a small child growing up in a musically centered family. Making music was a part of everyday life and that is even more true for Camiah today.

After studying rhythm and dance in college, Camiah moved to Georgia where she began teaching music lessons. Fifteen years later, her love of music and teaching that music to others has only grown and deepened.

Learning and teaching the Speech Level Singing technic has not only strengthened Camiah’s understanding of the voice, but it has enhanced and expanded her teaching skills, musicality, and her desire to share her love of music with her students. Camiah has directed a variety of adult and children choirs, small orchestras, community performances, show choirs and participated in a variety of national competitions. She has also enjoyed involvement in community theater from all aspects – leading roles to choreographer to hair/makeup specialist. Currently, Camiah also teaches private and group voice classes at Performer’s Warehouse, a school of excellence in performing arts which specializes in preparing students for college and professional auditions.

Many of Camiah’s students have been awarded scholarships, won highest awards at competitions, received cash awards, performed at the Fox Theater in Atlanta as well as nearly every community theater available in Alpharetta area, performed in Atlanta’s major clubs, been admitted to top performing arts middle schools and high schools and several students have gone on to study music in college. Watching her students achieve their goals in music is Camiah’s greatest hope and joy as a teacher. Her first priority as a teacher of music, is to understand her student’s goals, whether that is to simply enjoy music in the privacy of their home or if their goal is to make a career out of creating and performing music – Camiah can help you reach those goals.
